Parchment Tallies Career High in 3-1 Loss at Syracuse
10/21/2018 4:28:00 PM | Women's Volleyball
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Freshman outside hitter Jade Parchment turned in the best match of her young career, but it wasn't enough as the NC State volleyball team came up short against the Syracuse Orange, 3-1 (25-9, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23), Sunday afternoon inside the Women's Building.
Parchment tallied a career-high 20 kills in the contest to go along with a .400 attacking percentage, as she only committed four errors on 40 swings. Her 20 kills are the second most by an NC State player in a match this season. Additionally, she charted 11 digs to record her fourth career double-double.
NC State moves to 10-10 on the year and 4-6 in ACC play, while Syracuse improves to 12-6 and 8-2 in conference action – the best start for the Orange since joining the league. The 'Cuse are enjoying a strong season, as they have won four of their last five matches and eight of their last 10 to sit at No. 31 in the NCAA RPI.

Overall thoughts...
"We're so proud of Jade's performance today, unfortunately her performance alone wasn't enough to get us the outcome we wanted," said head coach Linda Hampton-Keith. "We had some bright spots today as our team continues to fight and play well in spurts, our challenge is to sustain those moments and play that well longer."
