Men’s Tennis Concludes Singles Competition at #TulsaITA Qualifiers

TULSA, Okla. – The NC State men's tennis team wrapped up singles action at the Saint Francis Health System Men's ITA All-American Championships Tuesday as Igor Saveljic finished play in the singles qualifying draw.
Matching up against Duke's Spencer Furman in the round of 64 Tuesday morning, Igor fought his way out of a first-set deficit to go on to earn the 6-4, 6-4 straight-sets victory. The win sent him to the round of 32, where he faced off against South Alabama's Clement Marzol in a matchup between ranked opponents. Marzol took the match by a 6-3, 6-2 score.
UP NEXT:
Igor and Ivan Saveljic earned an automatic berth into the main doubles draw at the ITA All-American Championships. The 15th-ranked Wolfpack duo will begin competition in the main draw Thursday.
