Softball To Host UNCW In Doubleheader Sunday

RALEIGH – The NC State softball team will host UNCW Sunday in a doubleheader at Dail Stadium. First pitch is 1 p.m. and admission is free.

This will be the Wolfpack's third and fourth of five home games this fall. The teams were originally scheduled to meet on Sept. 30 in Wilmington, N.C., but due to Hurricane Florence the games were relocated to Raleigh.

In its last time out the Pack scored a combined 49 runs en route to a doubleheader sweep over Fayetteville Tech on Oct. 7. The team currently owns a 2-2 record, as it is halfway through its fall slate.

Looking ahead, NC State will host Elon Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. for a 10-inning contest, then travel to Duke the following day for a 10-inning game at 1 p.m. to close out its fall schedule.
