NC State Takes Many Positives from ITA Summer Nationals

FORT WORTH, Texas – While No. 7 seed Amanda Rebol and Adriana Reami fell 8-4 in their doubles semifinal match against No. 5 Ellyse Hamlin and Kaitlyn McCarthy at the McCorkle Tennis Center on Tuesday, the NC State women's tennis team returns from Forth Worth, Texas, with many positives results to build off heading into the fall season.

While Rebol was dissatisfied not advancing to the final, she was enthusiastic about the opportunity lying ahead with her Wolfpack teammates.

"We didn't get the result we wanted today, but it was definitely a good tournament to build off" she said. "I'm excited to get back to work with all of the girls in Raleigh!"
Reami had similar thoughts about her time in Fort Worth, savoring the chance to be around her teammates again.
"The tournament was exciting and I enjoyed it immensely" she articulated. "I was also really happy to reunite with some of the girls on the team and start off the school year this way with them."

Doubles was a certainly a bright spot for the Wolfpack, as the team of Anna Rogers and Bianca Moldovan, playing as the No. 6 seed, also advanced to the latter stages of the tournament as they made the fourth round.

Impressive results were also achieved in singles competition, highlighted by No. 7 Rogers qualifying for the quarterfinal. No. 21 Reami advanced to the fourth round, while No. 11 Moldovan and No. 34 Rebol made the third round.

With classes beginning tomorrow, the Pack will be back on campus and preparing for the fall season.
