Sarah Bae, who recently completed her eligibility with the women's golf team at NC State, qualified for the United States Women's Amateur on Thursday.
She shot a one-under 71 to tie for first place with three other competitors, as the top seven in the field advanced. The qualifier was held at Bermuda Run Country Club in Advance, N.C.
Rising senior Cecily Overbey also took part in the qualifier and shot 78 ( 6) to finish T21st.
Bae will join Naomi Ko in California, as she earned an exemption into the championship after her sixth-place finish at the World Amateur Championship last September.
The US Women's Amateur will be held August 7-13 at San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Calif.
