Women's Track & Field Earns All-Academic Team Award

This marks NC State's first USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor since 2012. Nine individual men's and women's honorees sets a new program record.

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named the NC State women's track & field program an NCAA Division I All-Academic Team, the organization announced last week. In addition, a program-record nine NC State athletes received individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
To earn All-Academic Team distinction, a program must attain a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NC State women boasted a 3.156 GPA overall to earn their first All-Academic award as a team since 2012.
Ryen Frazier, Elly Henes, Erika Kemp, Megan Moye, Bethany Neeley and Tiana Patillo represented the NC State women as USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honorees. On the men's side, Sam Krehnbrink, Elijah Moskowitz and Aubrey Myjer also claimed individual All-Academic awards.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
Kemp leads the Pack as a five-time USTFCCCA All-Academic award recipient for track & field. Patillo, a two-time honoree, was also named All-Academic in 2015.
Myjer, a redshirt senior for the Pack last season, received All-Academic honors in 2015 with Columbia University before arriving at NC State.

- For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
- For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
