RALEIGH—The No. 27 NC State women's tennis team will seek its seventh-straight win as it takes on Syracuse Friday. The match will be held at the Drumlins Country Club and is set to begin at 3 p.m. Heading into the match, the Wolfpack owns a 16-7 (5-5 ACC) record.

The Wolfpack picked up two ACC wins last weekend, cruising past Clemson and Pittsburgh, both by a final score of 6-1.Â

Doubles partners Martina Frantova and Anna Rogers were ranked 15th in the nation in the latest Oracle/ITA poll, jumping six places from their previous position. The duo has claimed 11-straight wins and has accumulated a season record of 16-1 at the top position.Â
In the team standings, the Wolfpack dropped one rank to settle at No. 27 in the nation.Â
Frantova received the No. 59 rank in the singles poll, dropping slightly from the previous poll. The senior holds a 10-11 (3-7 ACC) record.

The Orange will enter Friday's match with a 6-9 (3-4 ACC) record, coming off a narrow 4-3 loss to Florida State. Freshman Miranda Ramirez jumped into the polls this week, landing at No. 79 in the singles rankings. She has won 12-straight matches, the last three of which were played at the top position. Valeria Salazar joins her, settling at No. 109. In doubles, Salazar and her partner Gabriela Knutson earned the No. 26 rank. In the overall series, NC State and Syracuse have both tabbed two wins.
