No. 27 Women's Tennis Defeats Syracuse
4/7/2017 7:40:00 PM | Women's Tennis
Wolfpack earns seventh straight win
"We've had two crazy days and I don't think I've quite experienced a travel day like we did yesterday," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "We arrived here about three hours before the match and managed to find our bags, which is obviously a key component.
"I think the girls had a great attitude about everything. It would have been easy to come here and not show up, and I don't think we would have held that against them. But I think that's a mark of where we are as a program right now. We've really got a certain level of confidence and buy-in.
"I have to say that Gina and I are incredibly proud of the girls. They showed a lot of heart. I think we're in a great place right now—we're still growing. I also think we're fortunate to just have the one game this week because we're starting to get beat up a bit and we're thankful for a few days off before we get back at it next week.
"Overall, it's been an amazing trip. I thought Syracuse played a great match today and I think Coach Younes is doing a great job. We're just thankful to be moving on, and hopefully we can get back to Raleigh today."
