Wins sixth-straight match
RALEIGH—The No. 26 NC State women's tennis team cruised to a win over conference opponent Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, marking the team's sixth-straight victory. The team defeated Pittsburgh by a final score of 6-1, moving the Wolfpack to a 16-7 (5-5 ACC) record while the Panthers drop to 3-10 (0-9 ACC).
NC State dominated the match, winning the doubles point followed by five consecutive singles points, each in straight sets. The Panthers earned their only point of the day from a forfeited match in No. 6 singles.

Match Recap
The Wolfpack continued its momentum from a monumental victory against No. 46 Clemson on Friday, opening the match with a swift win in doubles. On court one, No. 21 Martina Frantova and Anna Rogers shut out Pittsburgh's Washington and Frey to win by a 6-0 decision. NC State's duo of Claudia Wiktorin and Tayla Stenta sealed the doubles point, taking down the Panthers' Blakely and Lucas, 6-1. Play was suspended in No. 3 doubles with Adriana Reami and Amanda Rebol up 5-2 over Pitt's Rezende and Okamoto.
In singles play, Rebol cruised to a a win on court five, taking down Lucas by a final score of 6-2, 6-1. No. 55 Frantova followed suit with a win at the top singles position, as he defeated the Panthers' Washington, 6-1, 6-4.
The match-clincher was won by Reami on court four. The freshman rattled off a 6-2, 6-2 win over Pittsburgh's Frey to guarantee the Wolfpack its fifth ACC win.
In No. 2 singles, Rogers locked up a win over Blakely, 7-5, 6-0, to extend NC State's lead to 5-1.
On court three, Wiktorin wrapped up the match with her fifth-straight win, taking down Rezende by a final score of 7-5, 6-4.
After the conclusion of the match, the Wolfpack was honored to spend time playing with breast cancer survivors from Tennis for Life, an active support group for breast cancer survivors.
Up Next
The Wolfpack will travel to Syracuse, N.Y., to take on Syracuse on Friday, Apr. 7. The match will be held at the Drumlins Country Club and is set to begin at 3 P.M.
