
Pack Posts 286 En Route To Fourth Place Finish At Bryan National Collegiate

Wolfpack posts second-lowest round of season to move two spots up leaderboard
5BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Highlighted by two under-par rounds, the No. 23 NC State women's golf team put together a final score of 286 (-2) on Sunday to finish in a tie for fourth place with UNC-Chapel Hill out of 18 teams at the Bryan National Collegiate.
Hosted by Wake Forest and UNC-Greensboro at Bryan Park Golf Course in Browns Summit, N.C., the Wolfpack posted its second-lowest round of the season to move up two spots on the team leaderboard and finish with a 54-hole total of 872 ( 8). The placement marks the highest finish the team has earned at the Bryan National.
Alabama won the team title with a 13-under par 851, and Georgia and Baylor rounded out the top three with 865 ( 1) and 867, in respective order. Bama's Kristen Gillman took medalist honors with an eight-under 208 (71-71-66).
Leonie Bettel collected her third top-10 finish of the year with a 211 (-5) to share a tie for sixth place. She fired a 69 (-3) on Sunday to mark the second-lowest round of her career.
India Clyburn garnered her seventh top-20 finish of the season after posting a one-under 71. She capped off the weekend with a 218 ( 2) to finish in a tie for 16th overall, as this marks her 15th round of even par or better this year.
Laura Kowohl and Sarah Bae each carded a 73 in the final round of play, as Kowohl finished T28th with a 223 ( 7) and Bae finished T39th with a 225. Naomi Ko finished in between Kowohl and Bae at T31st with a 224 after shooting 77 on Sunday.
Cecily Overbey, who competed as an individual in the tournament, shot 76 in round three to finish T49th with a 12-over par 228.
NC State will return to Raleigh to prepare for the ACC Championship April 13-15 at The Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.
