HONOLULU – The NC State men's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over Hawai'i Wednesday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex. NC State improved to 8-6 on the year, while Hawai'i fell to 1-6.

After dropping the doubles point, NC State won in straight sets on all six singles matches to earn the win. It marked the fourth time this season NC State has swept all six singles matches.

No. 73 Nick Horton secured a 7-6(7-4), 7-5 win on court one over Felix Albert. No. 116 Alexis Galarneau earned his fourth-straight win with a 6-3, 6-3 victory on court two over Igor Kolaric. Igor Saveljic defeated Marcel Chan 6-2, 6-3 on court three.

Michael Ogden topped Fabian Woehrl 6-3, 6-3 on court four to earn his 12^th win of the season. Georgiy Malyshev added 6-0, 6-2 win on court five over Ruben Blattner. Sean Burnette picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win on court six over Spencer Travalino.

NC State will be back in action Friday as it faces Hawai'i at 8 p.m. ET in its second match of the week against the Rainbow Warriors.
