RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's tennis team will take on Hawai'i twice over the week at the UH Tennis Complex in Honolulu, O'ahu. The matches have changed from their previously scheduled dates due to inclement weather approaching the island. NC State will play Hawai'i Wednesday and Friday at 8 p.m. ET both dates.
The Rainbow Warriors enter the match with a 1-5 record. The team last played a match 15 days ago in a 7-0 loss against San Diego.
NC State enters the match with a 7-6 record. The Pack is coming off a tough weekend where it fell to No. 22 Tulane and No. 20 Mississippi State. The matches against Hawai'i mark the final nonconference matches of the season for the Pack.
No. 116 Alexis Galarneau and Georgiy Malyshev lead the team with nine singles wins each this dual season. Galarneau has won three-straight matches and holds two wins over ranked opponents. No. 73 Nick Horton leads the team in the singles rankings and holds 5-6 record this dual season. In doubles play, Galarneau and Horton debut at No. 51 in doubles poll. The duo is coming off a win over previously No. 26 Trevor Foshey and Niclas Braun of Mississippi State.
