HONOLULU - The NC State men's tennis team concluded its nonconference slate with a 7-0 win over Hawai'i at the UH Tennis Complex on Friday night. The win marks the ninth of the season for the Wolfpack.

NC State is now 9-6 on the season and 2-0 all time against the Rainbow Warriors. Hawai'i falls to 1-6 with the loss.

After dropping the doubles point in its first match, NC State rebounded to earn a 7-0 win by taking the doubles point with victories on courts one and three.

The Pack rolled early in singles play with five straight-set victories. Malyshev continued his impressive run, only dropping three games in his victory. Over the last two matches, Malyshev has only lost five game in four sets. He's up to a team high 17 wins this season.

Igor Saveljic, Michael Ogden and Sean Burnette each won 7-5 sets on their way to singles victories.

Horton was forced to a tiebreak in the second set and won, while Galarneau came back from dropping the first set to win the overall match and clinch the sweep.

NC State will open ACC action Wednesday, March 15^th at 3 p.m. against North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
