RALEIGH—After two matches on the road, the No. 35 NC State women's tennis team will return to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center to host Michigan State on Wednesday. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Wolfpack will look to bounce back after two tough losses on the road. The team fell to No. 44 Miami in a close battle, 4-3, and to Florida State, 5-2, in a match that lasted over four hours last weekend. NC State owns a 8-6 (0-3 ACC) record so far this season.

Following its two road losses, the Wolfpack has dropped to No. 35 on the Oracle/ITA team poll. In singles, Martina Frantova sits as the 34th ranked player in the country, holding a 8-4 dual record. In doubles Frantova and Anna Rogers were ranked No. 30 in the latest poll, dropping slightly from their previous rank.
Scouting Michigan State
Despite heading to Raleigh fresh off a 6-0 loss to No. 41 Notre Dame, the Spartans hold an impressive season record of 9-2. Emily Metcalf represents the team on the Oracle/ITA singles poll, sitting at No. 98. The sophomore lost her first match of the year to Notre Dame's No. 118 Allison Miller, giving Metcalf a 9-1 season record. At the top singles position, Erin Faulkner has a 3-7 ledger. In doubles play, the team of Allie Baer and Erin Faulkner has earned a 2-3 record in No. 1 doubles. In the overall series, the Wolfpack leads, 1-0.
