
Softball Heads To USC Upstate For Midweek Doubleheader

RALEIGH – After a series sweep over Virginia at Dail Stadium last weekend, the NC State softball team will head to Spartanburg, S.C., Wednesday to face USC Upstate for a doubleheader at Cyrill Stadium.
First pitch of game one is 4 p.m., and game two is set for a 6 p.m. start. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN3. The Wolfpack enters the matchup with an 11-16 (5-1 ACC) record while the Spartans are 23-6 (0-0 ASUN) this season.
PACK VS. SPARTANS HISTORY
Wednesday will mark the sixth meeting between the two teams, as NC State holds a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met at Dail Stadium on March 30, 2016, as the Pack shut out the Spartans 8-0.
ROAD STRETCH
12 of the next 14 games on the Pack's schedule will be on the road. NC State will host midweek games against Liberty March 29 and UNC-Greensboro April 5, and travel to No. 28/25 UNC-Chapel Hill, No. 20/19 Tennessee and Georgia Tech for weekend series and Elon for a midweek tilt.

The Pack swept Virginia in its series at Dail Stadium last weekend, powering past the Cavaliers 10-3 in game one, clinching an 8-6 win in game two and earning a 9-1 run-rule victory on Sunday.

-NC State now holds a 5-1 record in ACC play, which puts the team in a tie for third in the conference standings with UNC-CH.
