RALEIGH – The No. 18/19 NC State women's basketball team (21-7, 11-4 ACC) concludes the regular season Sunday afternoon at Virginia. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. from John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville with live coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

Taking the lead six seconds into the game and never once letÂting its opponent tie or claim the advantage, NC State honored its seniors in fine fashion Thursday evening with an 80-60 win over rival UNC-Chapel Hill on Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum.

Led by 19 points from Dominique Wilson, the Wolfpack led by as many as 30 points in the third quarter before arriving at the final margin of 20, which is the team's third double-digit vicÂtory over UNC-Chapel Hill in the last four opportunities. Ashley Williams scored 18 points while matching a career high with six made three-point field goals, while Jennifer Mathurin (13 points) and Chelsea Nelson (10) also scored in double figures. Senior Miah Spencer scored nine points while dishing out nine assists against just one turnover.

$100,000 RAISED AT PLAY4KAY GAME
February 19th was the 12th installment of the national Play4Kay movement that began at NC State under legendÂary head coach Kay Yow. Throughout the 11 previous games in Raleigh, the NC State community, Wolfpack supporters, and cancer survivors have combined to raise approximately $500,000 in donations to this worthy cause. Sunday's grand total of donations included $33,805 from the NC State comÂmunity and $70,000 from Bojangles, bringing the day's total over $100,000.

Of 14 programs active in the ACC since the outset of the 2013-14 season, NC State's senior class has achieved a win-loss record that ranks fifth in the league. Only Notre Dame, Florida State, Duke, and Syracuse have been more successful.

In the 125 games played since the beginning of the 2013-14 season, the Wolfpack has scored 8,811 points. An astounding 4,317 (48.9 percent) of these points have come from the curÂrent senior class. On this year's team, NC State's seniors have accounted for 58.7 percent of the scoring.

Seniors Ashley Williams and Jennifer Mathurin were awarded postgraduate scholarships from the ACC on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The duo was among just 54 student-athletes from across the conference to earn the honors.

NC State's Feb. 23 win over North Carolina was the Wolfpack's 14th home win of the season. This marks just the fourth time in 43 seasons (second under HC Wes Moore) that NC State has won 14 or more games at home.
