Gymnastics to Host Sweetheart Meet

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State gymnastics team will be back in action this weekend, as it hosts the annual Sweetheart Meet against EAGL opponent George Washington and Kent State The meet will take place inside Reynolds Coliseum Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Live stats will be available and the meet will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Last Time Out:
NC State traveled to No. 8 Michigan last weekend, recorded a team score of 193.225 and earned five top-five finishes. NC State posted its best rotation of the night on vault, scoring a 48.775.

Pack In The Polls:
NC State enters the meet ranked 37^th in the team standings with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 194.440. The Pack recently scored a season-high 195.025 at its last home meet on Feb. 10^th. The Pack took second at the meet against North Carolina, Pittsburgh and William & Mary. As a team, the Pack is ranked t-24^th with a RQS of 48.830 on bars, 26^th on vault with a RQS of 48.850, 38^th on floor with a RQS of 48.795 and 47^th on beam with a RQS of 48.250.

Individually, Amanda Fillard leads the team on bars, checking in at t-45^th with a RQS of 9.835. Chelsea Knight is ranked t-60^th on bars with a RQS of 9.820. Paris Phillips leads the team on floor with a RQS of 9.840 for No. 50 in the NCAA.

Scouting George Washington:
George Washington enters the meet with a 16-2 record and is ranked 16^th with a RQS of 195.970. George Washington holds a season-high score of 196.400. Individually, George Washington has three gymnasts in the top-30 of the all-around standings. Camille Drouin-Allaire leads the group with a RQS of 39.175 – good for the 17^th-highest score in the NCAA.

Scouting Kent State:
Kent State is ranked 32^nd in the team polls with a RQS of 194.660 and holds a 2-7 record on the season. Kent State has narrowly dropped its last two dual meets, but has posted scores above 195.500 in both meets. The team is ranked 46^th or higher in all four rotations. Individually, Jordan Hardison is ranked t-63^rd on floor with a RQS of 9.825.
