Pack Wins Four Events During Final Weekend of Regular Season

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team concluded the regular season with a pair of meets Friday and Saturday. The team won four events and set several personal bests at the VT Last Chance and UCS Invitational.
VT Last Chance:
At the VT Last Chance, the Pack won three of its five events. Joshua Davis opened the meet Friday night, taking first place in the weight throw with a throw of 67'10.75". On the women's side, Sharmani Hall took third with a throw of 53'3.50".
NC State added two more wins on Saturday. Margaret Edwards captured the high jump win after clearing the bar at 5'6.00". Alyssa Dunn added a win in the shot put with a throw of 47'4.25". JaTory "JT" Reid took second in the men's high jump with a mark of 6'4.00"
UCS Invitational:
Quashawn Cunningham added the Pack's fourth victory of the weekend after a 6.75 60m. Cunningham's time is good for a season-best in the event and is currently ranked fifth in the ACC, giving NC State three of the top-10 marks in the conference in the event.
The Pack also had strong showings in distance events, as Megan Moye, Erika Kemp and Ryen Frazier competed in the mile. The trio all finished in the top-six, as Moye led the group, finishing third in 4:39.05. Kemp crossed the finish line fourth with a 13-second PR of 4:42.21. Frazier rounded out the trio, taking sixth with a season-best 4:43.26. Kemp's time is ranked seventh in school history, while Frazier's mark is good for ninth on NC State's all-time indoor lists.
The Pack debuted its DMR teams as, the Megan Rempel, Tiana Patillo, Bethany Neeley and Elly Henes took fourth in 11:35.91 for the sixth fastest DMR in school history. Patrick Sheehan, Junpai Dowdy, Abdur-Rahmaan Kelly and Eli Moskowitz finished seventh in the men's 4,000m relay race with a time of 9:59.29.
Beth Taye ran unattached in the 3,000m, taking second with a time of 9:53.90. Rebekah Greengrass crossed the line in fourth with a season-high of 9:56.98.

NC State will be back in action Thursday through Saturday with the ACC Indoor Championships in South Bend, Ind.
