RALEIGH, N.C. – Fresh off a 25-15 win over Old Dominion at home Thursday night, the No. 6 NC State wrestling team returns to action Saturday night, as the Wolfpack (7-0) will face Chattanooga (1-1) in Charlotte at Lake Norman High School at 7 p.m.

Renda is off to a 6-0 start, with four of those wins coming in duals for bonus points. Carr was an NCAA Qualifier last season at 184, earning the No. 13 seed overall. He went 26-6 on the year, as was the Southern Conference champion. Carr does hold a 4-2 win over the redshirting Nick Reenan this season at the Hokie Open.

Moving up a weight this season, Macchiavello is off to a 4-0 start, with his most impressive win of the year coming last time out vs. ODU (17-2 tech fall). Boykin, a two-time NCAA Qualifier and was as the 2016 Southern Conference Champion at 197 pounds and ranked as high as #9, is coming off a redshirt season last year. He was placed first at both the Hokie Open and Black Knight Invite this year.

Series vs. Chattanooga
Saturday's matchup marks only the fourth overall meeting between NC State and Chattanooga. The two teams last met in 1999, with NC State winning a neutral site match 20-12. The two teams split a pair of meetings in Raleigh, with NC State winning in 1987 (22-15) and Chattanooga then winning in 1997 (21-18).

Familiar Faces
A pair of Mocs' starters were once members of the Wolfpack. Sr. Chad Pyke spent the previous four years at NC State before earning his undergraduate degree last year. He was 40-29 all time at NC State, seeing time at both 157 and 165 pounds. Wade Cummings was 11-1 as a redshirt at 125 pounds last year but left the team in late November of last year.
