NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The NC State volleyball team will look to bounce back Sunday afternoon when the Wolfpack takes on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. First serve is set for 1 p.m. inside Purcell Pavilion and the match will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra.

The Wolfpack heads into the match with a 19-9 overall record and a 14-3 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), while the Fighting Irish are 20-8 and 10-7 in conference action.

NC State won the first meeting between the programs at home earlier this season, 3-2. The Wolfpack looks to earn its first season sweep against the Irish, as the programs have never met twice in a season as ACC members.

Last Time Out
The Pack came up short in its most recent outing at Louisville on Friday night, dropping a 3-0 decision against the Cardinals to end its five-match win streak.

Last Time Versus Notre Dame
NC State earned a 3-2 victory versus Notre Dame in the first meeting of the season on Sept. 24, highlighted by a season-high 94 digs. Senior Emily Harris tallied a career-best 26 digs in that contest, which was the match high.

The Wolfpack won the opening set and the teams traded sets with NCSU earning a 15-7 victory in the fifth set to improve to 2-0 in ACC play at the time.

Scouting Notre Dame
Notre Dame heads into Sunday's match on a four-match winning streak to own a 20-8 overall record, including a 10-7 mark in ACC play to tie for sixth place. The Fighting Irish swept UNC-Chapel Hill in their most recent outing on Friday night at home.

The Wolfpack leads the all-time series with the Irish, 4-3, thanks to the victory earlier this season in the first matchup. Notre Dame won the last matchup on their home court, 3-0.

Sophomore outside hitter Jemma Yeadon leads the squad offensively with 391 kills or 3.91 kills per set. Senior middle blocker Sam Fry has also been a force on offense, as she has put down 226 kills to go along with a team-best .337 attacking percentage. At setter, senior Caroline Holt is averaging 10.29 assists per set and the Irish's junior libero Ryann DeJarld highlights the defense with 6.10 digs per set, which leads the conference and is fifth in the nation.

Notre Dame has one of the best defenses in the ACC, as they have limited opponents to a conference best .177 attacking percentage. The Irish have compiled a .194 hitting percentage as a team.

Balanced Offensive Attack
NC State has one of the most balanced offenses in the nation this season, as the Wolfpack boasts two players on its squad with at least 300 kills: Bree Bailey and Julia Brown. NCSU joins Pittsburgh as the only two teams in the conference to accomplish the feat.

Leading the Way in the ACC
Heading into the final two weeks of the ACC regular season, NC State leads the conference in total kills (1,491), kills per set (14.34), total assists (1,407) and assists per set (13.53).

Additionally, the Pack is second in the league in hitting percentage with a .260 clip.

Individually, Pickrell leads the ACC in assists per set with 10.80 and Kearney is fourth in the conference in attacking percentage at .367.
