NC State drops battle between ACC’s first-place teams
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The NC State volleyball team saw its five-match win streak come to a close Friday evening, as Louisville earned the 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-15) victory against the Wolfpack inside Cardinal Arena.
The Cardinals, which entered the contest receiving votes for the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, used a stellar blocking effort with 13 in the match to collect the victory.
NC State falls to 19-9 and 14-3 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play, while Louisville moves to 21-6 and 15-2 in league action.

Overall thoughts…
"That match got away from us in a hurry," said head coach Linda Hampton-Keith. "We didn't play well enough, long enough to give ourselves a chance. That part is very disappointing. We have to play cleaner on the road. This is a tough conference to go on the road and we still have three more ahead of us so that's where we will put our focus. Tomorrow is another opportunity to be better. "
