Wolfpack earns first GARC victory against the Tigers
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The ninth-ranked NC State rifle team split a pair of matches this weekend, falling to No. 3 Murray State before earning a Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) win against 11th-ranked Memphis.

The Wolfpack logged a score of 4645 against Murray State thanks to a mark of 2349 in the air rifle competition and a 2296 in smallbore. The Racers recorded a 4692 aggregate score with a 2366 in air rifle and 2326 in smallbore to deserve the win.

NC State turned in an aggregate total of 4629 versus Memphis to earn the victory after firing a 2341 in air rifle and a 2288 in smallbore. The Tigers logged a 2339 in air rifle and 2267 in smallbore to compile a team score of 4606.

NCSU moves to 4-4 on the year and picks up its first GARC win to improve to 1-2 against conference opponents.

Match Recap Versus No. 3 Murray State
Smallbore
- Kendra Jacobs and Lauren Phillips led the Wolfpack in the smallbore competition, as each notched a score of 579.
- Zach Eisenberg earned the third-best mark on the squad with a 577 and William Marciniak finished right behind him with a 574.
- Derya Pekari and Claire Zanti rounded out the lineup, firing scores of 566 and 560, respectively.
- As a team, NC State registered a 2296 in smallbore.

- Marciniak turned in NC State's next-highest score with a 572 thanks to a pair of 99s in the prone position.
- Eisenberg finished fourth in the competition with a 570 clip and was the only athlete to log a perfect score in a smallbore series with a 100 in his first series of prone.
- Jacobs recorded a 569 and Zanti tallied a 565.
- NC State earned a team total of 2288, while Memphis shooters combined to record a 2267.
