Â
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women's tennis team will continue fall tournament play on Friday when it begins competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships  at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill.
Â
Qualifying singles begins the morning of October 19 while main draw doubles starts later in the afternoon. Main draw singles play commences the morning of October 20 and ends October 23.
Â
"Every fall the ITA Regional is one of the main focuses for every program and it's no different for us," explained head coach Simon Earnshaw. "Coming into the event we are well prepared and overall it's been a very positive semester for us thus far relative to our goals and direction. That being said, we can't take anything for granted and this should be our toughest test yet. There are very few regions that have the strength and depth of the Carolina's Region which means every match is going to be a challenge. The upside of that is that there's a ton of opportunity available for all of our players which is exactly what you look for ahead of the season. We're excited and it should be a lot of fun especially given that it's the only time this fall we'll have the whole team together at the same tournament. Go Pack!"
