#PackXC Set to Compete at Wisconsin Friday

The Wolfpack will square off against 34 nationally ranked teams at one of the nation's premier collegiate meets, the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NC State cross country program will face its toughest test of the season this week as the Pack competes at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. A total of 35 nationally ranked teams are set to run the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course on Friday, Oct. 13, with races beginning at noon EDT.

Based on the most recent USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll (released Oct. 3), a total of 35 nationally ranked programs are set to compete at Wisconsin this week. The men's field features 20 ranked teams, highlighted by the defending national champions of Northern Arizona. On the women's side, No. 7 NC State will compete against 14 other top-30 programs.

On the men's side, NC State upset two nationally ranked programs as the Wolfpack placed 9th at Notre Dame. Elijah Moskowitz (26th) was the Pack's highest finisher for the second-straight meet, followed by Ben Barrett (34th), Philip Hall (40th), Joe Bistritz (52nd) and Aubrey Myjer (57th) to round out the top five.
Henes was named the ACC Performer of the Week following her performance at Notre Dame, while Clairmonte and Bistritz swept Freshman of the Week honors.

The Wolfpack women finished third with 118 points at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational, a meet that featured seven nationally ranked teams. NC State's top-five finishers were Elly Henes (13th), Rachel Koon (16th), Dominique Clairmonte (19th), Beth Taye (23rd) and Julia Zachgo (47th).On the men's side, NC State upset two nationally ranked programs as the Wolfpack placed 9th at Notre Dame. UP NEXT
Following the meet, the Pack will turn its attention to the ACC Cross Country Championships, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 27.
