11 #PackXC Athletes Run at ECU Pirate Invitational Friday

The Wolfpack will have six athletes competing in uniform, while five will race unattached to preserve redshirt seasons.
RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NC State cross country program will have 11 athletes competing at the ECU Pirate Invitational this Friday, Oct. 13. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Lake Kristi XC Course in Greenville, N.C.

THE COMPETITION
The ECU Pirate Invitational features a field of 10 Division I teams, including NC State, ECU, Duke, UNCG, UNC Asheville, USC Upstate, St. Augustine's, The Citadel, College of Charleston, Winthrop and Norfolk State. Division II programs Elizabeth City State and St. Augustine's are also entered in the meet.UP NEXT
Following the meet, the Pack will turn its attention to the ACC Cross Country Championships, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 27. The women's team will look to defend its 2016 conference title, while the men aim to improve on last year's third-place finish.Â
