COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – The NC State men's golf team saved its best round for last at the season-opening FAMC Intercollegiate. On Tuesday, the Wolfpack closed out the tournament with its best team round (290, +2) to move up two spots and end the competition in 11th place with a cumulative score of 896 (+32).
Sophomore Davis Richards recorded the fourth top-20 finish of his young career, finishing tied for 13th in the field with a three-round score of 220 (+4).
STRONG FINISH
Three NC State golfers shot below or at par during Tuesday's final round. Davis Richards recorded the best round of the day with a 70 (-2) while teammates Benjamin Shipp and Nolan Mills Jr. finished right at par.
