Addison, Perry, Ards to Represent Team USA at NACAC Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. - Jonathan Addison and Alexis Perry have been selected to compete for Team USA at the North American, Central American, & Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships and NC State assistant track coach, Tamara Ards will serve as Team USA's event manager in El Salvador, July 15-17th.

Perry is making her second Team USA appearance, and Addison and Ards will represent the national team for the first time.

The meet will take place after the USATF Olympic Trials and before the Rio Olympics. Athletes from 31 different countries will compete in the meet.

Addison and Perry will both compete in the long jump. The two were selected as USATF's selections based on age requirements and individual rank.

Both recently wrapped up their NCAA careers at the 2016 Outdoor NCAA Championships. Addison finished his career as a five-time All-American and Perry concluded her career as a four-time All-American.

Addison set the NC State indoor long jump school record this season, leaping 26'9.75". The Raleigh, N.C., native took second at the NCAA Indoor Championships and finished fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Perry holds the Wolfpack's outdoor long jump school record with a leap of 21'6.75" and just took fourth in the event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Before the international meet, the standout athletes will compete at the USATF Olympic Trials from July 1-10th. Perry will line up in 100m hurdles and long jump while Addison will compete in the long jump.
