Moye Named ACC Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Megan Moye has been named the ACC's Women's Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Moye capped off a successful weekend at the Charlotte Invitational, where she set two personal bests, a school record and the nation's fifth-best mark in the 1,500m.
Moye opened the meet with an 800m PR of 2:05.98 for the win. The mark is a two-second improvement from her pervious mark and ranks 21st in the nation, 10th in the East and first in the conference.
Following her 800m race, she broke the school record in the 1,500m with a time of 4:15.67. Moye was paced by true freshman Megan Vaughn. Her time is fifth in the nation, second in the East and first in the ACC.
The Moesly, Va., native is coming off a breakout indoor season, where she advanced to the NCAA Championships with a school record in the mile. She finished 7th in the event for first-team All-America honors. Moye is also on the school-record holding DMR team that earned All-America honors in the event during the 2014-15 season.
