Notre Dame's ranked doubles teams had a strong showing to open the match, as No. 16 Alex Lawson and Quentin Monaghan and No. 39 Josh Hagar and Eddy Covalschi both won on 6-2 on the opening two courts. Nick Horton and Michael Ogden's match on court 3 was abandoned once the Fighting Irish clinched the point.
In singles play Notre Dame continued its quick start, picking up first-set victories on five of the six courts.
The Fighting Irish jumped out to a 3-0 lead after Ivan Saveljic lost on a default and Igor Saveljic fell, 6-4, 6-1 on court four.
Notre Dame clinched the match at court one, as No. 32 Quentin Monaghan defeated No. 89 Thomas Weigel. It was the second time this season Weigel had moved to the spot spot and marked a big move up the lineup after starting the season at No. 4. Weigel fell, 6-3, 6-3 in both sets.
Fellow senior, No. 49 Simon Norenius added a big win at the No. 2 spot in the line up. Norenius defeated Covalschi, 6-3, 6-1 for the Pack's lone point of the match. The win was Norenius' 75th of his career, 25th of his senior year and 18th of his spring season. The win ties him for 7th on the all-time singles list and puts him just two victories away from the top-10 standings in most dual wins in a single season.
Notre Dame added straight-set wins on courts three and five for the final points.
