RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 44 NC State men's tennis team is heading to Cary Tennis Park for the 2016 ACC Tennis Championships. The eighth seeded Pack (17-13, 5-7 ACC) will open the tournament with nine-seed Clemson (15-13, 5-7 ACC) Thursday at 1 p.m. The winner faces top seed Virginia Friday at 1 p.m.

Clemson's Scouting Report:
Clemson is currently on a three-match win streak and has won five of its last seven. The Tigers are ranked 73rd in the latest ITA poll and Alex Favrot leads the team with a ranking of No. 121 in singles play. Favrot and Luke Johnson are the Tigers lone ranked doubles duo, checking in at No. 71.

NC State holds a head-to-head advantage against the Tigers this season, earning a 4-3 win from the friendly confines of the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. During the match, the Pack earned match points from doubles play, Simon Norenius, Ivan Saveljic and Igor Saveljic.

Clemson leads the overall series 51-14, but the Pack holds a 4-2 advantage over the Tigers in the last six meetings. The two teams last met at the ACC Championships in 2013. Clemson won the contest, 4-2.
