
Mitchell Earns Top-20 Finish On Day Two Of Zone Diving Championships

Mumma earned a top-25 finish in the women's three-meter dive
ATLANTA-Â The NC State swimming and diving team's second day of competition at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships, hosted by Georgia Tech, was highlighted by sophomore Harrison Mitchell's top-20 performance in the men's one-meter competition.Â
In addition to Mitchell's showing, senior Rachel Mumma earned a top-25 finish in the women's three-meter dive inside the McAuley Aquatic Center on Tuesday.Â

Mitchell managed to advance to the men's one-meter finals after finishing 18th and posting a score of 218.50 in the prelims. In the finals he earned a 17th-place finish with a cumulative score of 568.25.

In the women's three-meter dive, Mumma finished 24th with a score of 265.40 while junior Gabi McDermott finished 43rd with a mark of 205.60 to round out Tuesday's showing for the Pack.

NC State will continue competition at the Zone B Diving Championships Wednesday inside the McAuley Aquatic Center.
