Taylor Leading The Field After Second Round In Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Rachael Taylor tied a school record Saturday by shooting a 4-under par 66 in the first round of the Gator Invitational at Florida. After Saturday's two rounds, the senior is 4-under and leads the field by three shots.

RESULTS AFTER 2 ROUNDS

Taylor became the third player in Wolfpack history to shoot a round of 66. Augusta James and Brittany Marchand are the other two players achieve that. Taylor carded nine birdies on the day and was the top player in the tournament in par-4 hole scoring.

As a team, the Wolfpack is in second place, 10 shots behind host school Florida for the lead. NC State was leading the tournament after 18 holes. Oregon is third in the standings, one shot behind the Wolfpack.

The Gator Invitational continues with the third and final round Sunday, March 6.
