#Pack9’s Joe O’Donnell Crowned ACC Pitcher of the Week

NC State’s Joe O’Donnell pitched a complete game on Friday against Notre Dame
NC State's Joe O'Donnell won ACC Pitcher of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office, for his complete game against Notre Dame.
O'Donnell (3-1) tossed a complete game on Friday to lead the Wolfpack to a 9-1 win over Notre Dame, scattering four hits over nine innings for his third win of the year.
He retired nine of the first 11 faced, then 15 of 18 starting in the fourth inning. O'Donnell walked four and struck out four, going the distance on 121 pitches. The complete game marks the first for a Wolfpack pitcher since Carlos Rodon pulled the feat on April 25, 2014 against Georgia Tech.
The junior righthander from Wilmington collects the first ACC weekly award of his career, and the third for a Wolfpack player this season. Chance Shepard won back-to-back ACC Player of the Week awards February 29 and March 7.
NC State held onto the No. 13 spot in D1Baseball's poll following a 3-2 week, climbed to No. 19 in the College Baseball Newspaper, and remained No. 21 according to Baseball America. The Pack returns to action Tuesday at 6 PM, visiting UNCW.
