No. 32 Pack Set For Three Weekend Matches

RALEIGH, N.C. - The 32nd-ranked NC State men's tennis team is set for three weekend home matches. The Wolfpack will take No. 33 Dartmouth Friday at 4 p.m., followed by a pair of Sunday matches against No. 55 South Carolina at 12:30 p.m. and Bryant University at 4 p.m. All three matches will be played at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
NC State (4-2) is undefeated in its home matches this season at 2-0 and holds one victory over ranked opponents. The Pack will have two chances to knock off ranked opponents this weekend with No. 33 Dartmouth on Friday and No. 55 South Carolina on Sunday.
Series Rivalries:
Dartmouth holds a 5-1 series advantage against the Pack. The two teams have not played each other in 41 years. However, the Pack did win the last game of the series, an 8-1 victory in 1975.
For the last three years. matches with USC have come down to the final match point. South Carolina earned a 4-3 victory in 2013, and the Pack won 4-3 in its last two matches. USC leads the overall series 33-20. The rivalry continues on Saturday, as NC State look to maintain its recent winning streak over South Carolina.
NC State holds a 1-0 advantage over Bryant University. The series began last year when the Pack added a match with the Bulldogs late in the season. NC State won 4-0.
Bryant vs. South Carolina
Bryant University will play South Carolina at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center before the Pack's double header Saturday. The two teams will face off at 9:00 a.m. GoPack.com will have full coverage of the event including live streams and live stats.
