Wolfpack Women: Get to Know Akela Maize

RALEIGH -Â In the ninth installment of this season's "Get to Know" series, meet sophomore center Akela Maize!
Akela has appeared in 10 games this season for the Wolfpack, scoring six points and grabbing seven rebounds. Her two best games of the season so far were two-point, one-rebound efforts in victories over High Point and Western Carolina.Â
Maize and the Wolfpack (17-9, 8-5 ACC) have an ACC open date on Thursday, February 18, and return to action at UNC-Chapel Hill on Sunday, February 21. Sunday's game is part of ESPN's Play 4Kay Week and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 at 1 p.m.Â
