Three Named to CSC Academic All-District

RALEIGH – Three NC State women's basketball student-athletes have been tabbed to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team. Maddie Cox, Zamareya Jones and Tilda Trygger are all first time selections.
Cox is a business administration major and has a 3.7 GPA. She was one of three student-athletes at NC State recognized with PNC Achievers Program Spring honors. Cox has been named to the Dean's List and an NC State scholar-athlete all five semesters of college. She is also a two-time ACC Academic Honor Roll and two-time All-ACC Academic Team recipient.
Cox has played in 35 straight games and 98 contests through her Wolfpack career. She registered a career-high 11 points against Coastal Carolina and 12 rebounds against Seton Hall. The Flower Mound, Texas native finished the year shooting 36.1 percent (13-36) from 3-point.
Trygger also excels in the classroom and the court, sporting a 3.7 GPA as a communications major. She is an All-ACC Academic Team honoree and Dean's List recipient. Trygger is a two-time ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient and a CAT Scholar Athlete.
She averaged 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Trygger tallied 14 double-digit scoring games, six double-digit rebounding games and five double-doubles. Trygger was tabbed to the Lisa Leslie Midseason Top 10 List. She also logged a career-high 25 points at Boston College and finished 10th in rebounds and 11th in blocks in the ACC.
Jones logs a 3.59 GPA as a sport management major. She was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and an ACC Honor Roll recipient.
Jones is coming off a stellar year as a sophomore averaging 14.9 points and 3.8 assists per game. She logged 26 double digit scoring games, six 20+ point games and 12 5+ assist games. Jones is coming off a career-high 30 points against Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64. Jones was also on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Preseason Top 20 Watchlist.
