
NC State Takes Down Boston University 77-73

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's basketball team defeated Boston University 77-73 and extended its record to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in PNC Arena for the season.
Terry Henderson led the Pack with 23 points. Torin Dorn added a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Dennis Smith, Jr. also reached double-digit scoring with 15 points from 6-for-10 shooting from the floor. Markell Johnson added five points, five assists and four rebounds to round out the Pack's backcourt effort.
As a team, the Wolfpack posted a 16-3 advantage in second-chance points and outscored the Terriers 19-12 in points off turnovers.
NC State led most of the first half and jumped out to a 13-point lead with 6:25 remaining in the opening half. The Pack entered halftime with a 39-33 lead. The Terriers responded with a 7-1 run to open the second half and took a brief 44-42 lead with 16:25 left in the game.
NC State immediately answered with a three-pointer from Johnson and never lost the lead again in the contest. The Pack went on a 22-5 run over the next five minutes to jump out to a 16-point lead with 9:03 to go in the contest.
Boston clawed its way back into the game, cutting the Pack's lead to five points with 3:20 left in the game. NC State extended its lead to nine points with 48 seconds left in the contest to close out the game.

NC State will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 10th against Tennessee State for its Heritage Game inside Reynolds Coliseum. The game will be broadcast on the Raycom Sports Network.
