Quotes from the Wolfpack
Head Coach Wes Moore's opening statement: "Tonight was a little frustrating and a little disappointing. We wanted to do a better job on the boards. I thought defensively we tried to mix some things up, which didn't go too well. At some point we have to do a better job of guarding. Chelsea Nelson did a lot of good things with her double-double. I liked how she got on the boards and the way she was able to finish. Miah Spencer had six assists with only one turnover and did a nice job of setting everyone up. There were some bright spots on the defensive end, but we have to grow up in a hurry because our schedule is about to get a lot tougher."
Chelsea Nelson on the game in general: "We didn't play as well as we should have. Defensively, we need to do a better job of rebounding and boxing out. It's more of doing the little things and focusing on what we have to do."
Kaila Ealey on the team's defense: "I think we're very disappointed. We work in practice a lot about guarding our man and taking some pride in stopping the person from getting to the basket, and that just didn't happen tonight. That's something we need to work on before we start ACC play."
