
Women’s Golf To Compete In Final Tournament Of Fall Season

Wolfpack coming off strong fourth place finish at Tar Heel Invite
RALEIGH- Coming off of a fourth place finish in its last time out, the NC State women's golf team is set to compete in its final tournament of the fall season this weekend - The Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
Hosted by UNCW, the Wolfpack is slated to play Friday through Sunday on the Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall. For the third-straight tournament the team will face a strong field of competition, as 12 of the 18 teams playing are listed among the top 50 of the latest GolfStat poll.
Tournament Information:
Course: Pete Dye Course @ Country Club of Landfall - hosted by UNCW
Par: 72
Yardage: 6,166
Format: 54 holes (18 holes - Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Tee Times: NC State will be paired with competitors from Brown and Iowa between 8:30 and 9:06 a.m. Friday, while Saturday's tee times will be based upon team placement after round one. Competitors will tee off from holes one and 10 Friday and Saturday, and there will be an 8:45 a.m. shotgun Sunday.
Live Scoring: Live scoring will be available for all three days of competition.
Last Time Out:
The Pack finished fourth of 18 teams at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 14-16) with a two-over par score of 866.
India Clyburn and Leonie Bettel earned top-10 finishes on the individual leaderboard as both turned in 54-hole scores that were under par.
Wolfpack Lineup:

- Leads the team with a 71.00 scoring average.
- Has finished in the top 15 individually in the first two tournaments and five of her six rounds have been at even par or better.
2- Leonie Bettel (So.)
- Finished 10th at the Tar Heel Invitational with a two-under par 214.
- Holds a 72.83 scoring average in the 2016 fall season with four rounds of even par or better.
3- Cecily Overbey (Jr.)
- Finished in the top 30 individually in her season debut at the Tar Heel Invite.
- Holds a scoring average of 73.66 for the fall season.
4- Laura Kowohl (So.)
- Fired a three-under par 69 on the final day of the Tar Heel Invite.
- Finished T37th individually with a 223 (+7) in her last time out.
5- Naomi Ko (So.)
- Shot a 73 (+1) on the second day of the Tar Heel Invite.
- Lowest round of the season came from the first day of the Landfall Tradition with a two-under par 70.
*Last year NC State set a school record on the final day of play at the Landfall Tradition. The Pack carded a score of 279 (-9), which stands as the lowest 18-hole total recorded in program history.
