RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team returns home for two straight matches this week. First up is a Tuesday evening contest against in-state foe High Point. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Dail Soccer Stadium and the action will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
APPROACHING ELITE COMPANY
With NC State's next win, the Wolfpack will claim the 500th victory in program history and become just the 31st NCAA Division I program to reach this mark.
LAST MATCH
NC State dropped a tough road match at Atlantic Coast Conference foe Clemson Saturday evening, falling to the No. 5 Tigers at Riggs Field by a final score of 2-0.
Senior goalkeeper Alex McCauley logged a strong 90 minutes in goal on Saturday, stopping seven shots. The hosts were able to find the back of the net in the 61st and 65th minutes to earn the win.
CLIMBING THE CHART
In the Oct. 8 match at No. 5 Clemson, redshirt senior goalkeeper Alex McCauley made a season high seven saves. The Marietta, Ga., native currently ranks ninth in program history with 150 stops in his career.
SAVED OFF THE LINE
A familiar phrase in NC State matches this season has been "saved off the line." In at least three contests this year (Elon, No. 14 Wake Forest, and No. 5 Clemson) NC State has had a scoring attempt beat the goalkeeper but get saved off the line by a last-ditch defensive effort.

-NC State holds a 10-3-1 edge in the series.
-The teams last met on Oct. 21 of the 2009 season. NC State won 2-1 in Raleigh.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
