RALEIGH, N.C. - The third-ranked NC State wrestling team opens up ACC competition this Wednesday, traveling to Duke for a 7 p.m. dual. Admission to the match is free of charge, and will also be available to watch on ESPN3.

For the third straight poll, NC State remains No. 3 in this week's USA Today/NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll. The Pack is also ranked No. 3 by FloWrestling and No. by both InterMat and WIN Magazine.
The Wolfpack sits at a perfect 11-0 in duals on the season - the most consecutive wins in school history to open a season. The 11 wins thus far lead the nation, and NC State is one of just six schools still undefeated in 2015-16. The Pack is also a perfect 3-0 versus ranked teams thus far, defeating #16 Minnesota (31-3), #4 Oklahoma State (19-15), and #24 Old Dominion (26-15).
Six of the Pack's 10 starters remain ranked in the top-20 in every major poll.

Tommy Gantt was just named ACC Wrestler of the Week after he took top honors at 157 at the Midlands Championships. Gantt is the second Pack wrestler honored this season, as Nick Gwiazdowski won top conference honors back on Dec. 8.

NC State's Michael Boykin has two wins over ranked foes this year, and Hartman will be the fourth wrestler he has faced that is ranked in the top-10. Hartman is a two-time All-American (6th in 2015, 5th in 2014), and won both matchups last year between the two, 9-4 in the dual and then 4-3 at the ACC Chamionships.
Series History Against Duke
With series records dating back to 1955, the Pack holds a commanding 48-13 series lead against the Blue Devils, including winning 37 of the last 41 duals dating back to 1975. Over those last 40 years, NC State is a perfect 21-0 in dual action at Duke.
Last Year Against Duke
NC State fell behind 15-3 after the first six bouts, and despite three straight bonus point wins, the Pack came up short against Duke last year in Reynolds Coliseum, 18-17. The dual was the ACC opener for both squads.
With the dual starting at 149 pounds, the Blue Devils won the first three and five of the first six bouts of the dual. The Pack answered with three straight bonus point wins to take its first lead going into the final bout, but Duke's win at 141 clinched the dual.
