RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team's Atlantic Coast Conference game at rival UNC-Chapel Hill on Sunday, Feb. 21 has been picked up by ESPN2 as a part of the 2016 Play 4Kay Week. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. from Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill.
This game comes exactly one week after NC State's scheduled 11th annual Hoops 4 Hope game on Feb. 14 against Syracuse. Last season's 10th Anniversary of Hoops 4 Hope was highlighted by NC State defeating No. 10 Duke and resulted in the Wolfpack community earning the NCAA Division I Play 4Kay award for raising the most funds of all D1 programs.
Play 4Kay unites a nation of coaches and players for a greater cause – raising awareness and funds in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. During the 2015 ESPY's, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund announced a multi-year $1.25 million grant to The V Foundation in support of women's cancer research initiatives. This grant continues the legacy of Yow and will fund an ovarian cancer research project at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for complete NC State women's basketball seating, parking, and game day information for both Holliday Gymnasium and PNC Arena.
