RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team (4-5-0) begins Atlantic Coast Conference play Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh. Kickoff between the Wolfpack and Panthers is set for 1 p.m. from Ambrose Urbanic Field.
Â
A WIN ON SUNDAY WOULD...

-Be the Pack's third road victory of the season
-Be NC State's third win over Pittsburgh (fourth meeting)
Â
SERIES HISTORY
-Sunday's match marks the fourth meeting between NC State and Pittsburgh.
-NC State holds a 2-1-0 advantage in the series.
-The Wolfpack and Panthers last met in Raleigh during the 2014 season, with Pittsburgh winning 3-0.
-Last time the teams met in Pittsburgh (2013), Jackie Stengel scored the match-winning goal in the 90th minute during a 1-0 Pack victory.
Â
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
-Pittsburgh is off to its best start in program history at 6-1-1.
-Wins: Robert Morris (6-0), at Colorado College (1-0, OT), Villanova (2-0), La Salle (3-1), Liberty (2-1), at Akron (3-0).
-Losses: at Northern Colorado (1-0, OT).
-Draws: vs. Saint Francis (1-1).

Â
MISSING STARTERS
NC State's strong nonconference form took a hit when regular starters Cailyn Boch and Maxine Blackwood were sidelined with injuries. Each starter has only appeared in one of NC State's five matches since the end of August. Blackwood, who scored and assisted in NC State's Aug. 30 win at East Tennessee State, last played in the 2-0 win over Oregon while Boch has only played during the win at Davidson this month, scoring her first career goal in the match.
Â
NICE SHOOTING
NC State has recorded 16, 12, and 14 shots throughout the course of its last three matches to average 14 per contest during this span.
Â
VERY CONSISTENT
Redshirt sophomore forward Jackie Stengel has scored 13 goals in 30 career matches, or 0.43 goals per contest. She has scored one goal in each of NC State's last two matches.
Â
EFFICIENCY IS KEY
Nearly 53 percent of NC State's shots have been on target this season. Of the Wolfpack's 91 attempts, 48 have been on goal.
Â
VIEWING PACKAGE
NC State has five remaining home matches this season. All of them will be broadcast live on ESPN3. In total, eight of 10 ACC contests will be streamed.
