Pack Prepared to Conclude Home Slate

RALEIGH, N.C.-The No. 34 NC State men's tennis teams returns to action for three weekend matches as it hosts No. 33 Florida State Friday at 4 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday with Miami at 12 p.m. and Charlotte at 5 p.m.
Pack in the Polls:
State checks in at No. 34 after a three-match win streak. No. 66 Robbie Mudge leads the Wolfpack in singles, while Austin Powell checks in at No. 85.
 
Simon Norenius is a newcomer to the rankings this season, checking in at No. 92. The junior's resume is highlighted by a victory against No. 8 Romain Bogaerts of Wake Forest.
In doubles, Mudge and Ian Dempster remain in the top-20. The duo is ranked 16th with an 11-5 record.
 
Beck Bond currently has the hot hand. Going into the weekend, the senior has won six in a row and eight of his last 10.
 
Scouting Florida State
The Seminoles are ranked 33rd in the latest ITA rankings. Michael Rinaldi is the lone Seminole singles player ranked, checking in at No. 91 with an 11-4 record. The doubles team of Marco Nunez and Benjamin Lock are ranked 17th, and have an 11-4 record. Overall, the team has faired well this season, going 17-6 (5-3 ACC).
 
Scouting Miami
The Hurricanes are currently 7-12 (1-7 ACC). No. 87 Pitor Lomacki leads the team in the singles rankings. He enters the weekend with a 9-6 record, and has played every match at the top spot for the Canes.
 
Scouting Charlotte
The 49ers are 17-2 on the season and are currently on a 13-match win streak. J Massalle Ferrer is having a standout season going 18-0 in his singles matches. The doubles team of Vikram Hundal and Jack Williams also has a strong record of 11-4.
 
Last Time Out
The Wolfpack extended its win streak to three after defeating Georgia Tech, 6-1. Robbie Mudge and Austin Powell took down ranked opponents in the win. The doubles team of Mudge and Norenius also had a significant win as they upset the No. 58 duo of Carlos Benito and Eduardo Segura.
 
Senior Day:
Sunday will mark the final regular season home match for the trio of Mudge, Powell and Bond. The three seniors have helped take the team to three consecutive NCAA appearances and have totaled 65 team victories. The group will be honored before Sunday's match against Miami at 12 p.m.
 
Road Closures:
Due to the Rock `N Roll Raleigh Marathon & Half Marathon scheduled for Sunday morning, Hillsborough Street near the Dail Outdoor Tennis Stadium will be closed. I-440 to Western Blvd. is the suggested route to reach the stadium.
