CLEMSON, S.C. -- The No. 34 NC State men's tennis team earned a comeback-win against No. 64 Clemson, 4-3. The Wolfpack improves to 12-8 (2-5 ACC), while Clemson falls to 10-13 (1-7 ACC).
Match Recap:
For the second time in as many matches, the Pack clinched the doubles point. The duo of Beck Bond and Nick Horton picked up State's first victory at the No. 1 spot. Clemson took the match at the No. 2 spot, but State responded quickly.
Ian Dempster and Thomas Weigel provided the clincher for the Pack as they won the doubles point in the tiebreaker. 
In singles play, Clemson came out strong as it jumped to a first-set advantage on five of the six courts.
Despite the early pressure, Mudge worked his way to a straight-set win and his 14th victory of the dual season to extend the Pack's lead to 2-0, but it would not hold as Clemson fought back to win three-straight matches.
With the pressure on, Bond rallied from a first-set loss to win 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 and level the match. Moments later, Weigel followed suit with a convincing third set. After dropping the first and winning 7-5 in the second, Weigel won the third set, 6-1, to clinch the match.

The Pack has a quick turnaround as they travel to Atlanta for a 1 p.m. match against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
