Women's Tennis Drops Sunday Matchup to No. 12 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- The NC State women's tennis team fell to No. 12 Virginia, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at Snyder Tennis Center.
The Cavaliers improve to 18-5 (11-3 ACC), while the Wolfpack moves to 10-16 (1-14) on the season.
Match Notes
In doubles play, the Pack's duo of Joanna Nalborska and Natalia Janowicz held a close matchup to the Cavaliers' 75th-ranked pair of Skylar Morton and Julia Elbaba. The match was 6-4 on court one before play was abandoned.
With three players ranked among the top 30 in the ITA singles rankings on Virginia's squad, Nalborska, Liza Fieldsend and Nicole Martinez each dropped hard-fought matches on courts one through three. Nalborska fell to No. 4 Julia Elbaba, Fieldsend to No. 22 Danielle Collins and Martinez to No. 30 Stephanie Natua.

NC State will return to action when it competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship in Cary, N.C. The tournament will be held at Cary Tennis Center April 22-26.
