CHARLOTTE, N.C. - For the third time in his career, NC State women's tennis head coach Simon Earnshaw has been named Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Coach of the Year, while the Wolfpack placed four student-athletes on the All-ACC teams, highlighted by a pair of first-team selections, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Mia Slama earned First Team All-ACC singles honors, while the doubles duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe collected First Team All-ACC recognition. Anna Zyryanova was named to the All-ACC Second Team in singles, and Broadfoot added a Third Team singles selection.
With this year's honors, NC State has now had at least two all-conference selections in nine consecutive seasons.
Earnshaw's latest Coach of the Year honor adds to his previous recognitions in 2019 and 2023. In his tenure since 2014-15, he has guided the Wolfpack to two ACC Championships, including the program's most recent title in 2026.
NC State enters the NCAA Tournament with a 22-7 overall record, including a 10-2 mark in ACC play and nine top 25 wins, highlighted by a victory over then-No. 2 Pepperdine. The Wolfpack made a dominant run to the ACC Championship, earning three top 25 wins over No. 21 California, No. 6 North Carolina and No. 7 Virginia, securing the doubles point in each match and dropping just two singles contests.
Slama, a sophomore from Boca Raton, Florida, earns her first career All-ACC honor with a First Team selection. An ITA All-American, she posted a 14-8 dual record this spring, including a 6-2 mark in ACC play, primarily competing at the No. 1 position (13-5). At the ACC Championship, Slama went 2-0 with key wins over No. 2 and reigning NCAA Singles Champion Reese Brantmeier in the semifinals and No. 61 Vivian Yang in the final to clinch the title. She is currently ranked No. 28 by the ITA, a career high.
Broadfoot and Osuigwe have been one of the nation's top doubles teams, ranking as high as No. 2 this spring. The duo, which won the 2025 NCAA Doubles Championship, posted a 20-4 regular season record, including an 11-1 mark in ACC play, all on court one. They added three wins at the ACC Championship and secured the doubles point in each match. The pair recorded five top 50 wins this season, including victories over the No. 7 and No. 8 teams in the country during the conference tournament. The honor marks Broadfoot's second consecutive First Team selection and the first for Osuigwe.
Zyryanova earned Second Team All-ACC singles honors, marking the third all-conference selection of her career and her first on the second team. The senior posted a 17-4 dual record, including a 7-2 mark in ACC play, and tallied five ranked wins, highlighted by a victory over No. 13 Anastasiia Grechkina of then-No. 2 Pepperdine. She primarily competed on court three (13-3) and added three wins on court two late in the season.
Broadfoot also earned her first career All-ACC singles honor with a Third Team selection. The junior compiled a 13-7 dual record, including a 7-1 mark in ACC play, and added a key semifinal win over No. 36 Tatum Evans of North Carolina during the ACC Championship. She recorded three ranked wins this spring, including a top 10 victory over No. 9 Piper Charney of Michigan, and primarily competed on court two (9-3).
NC State now awaits its NCAA Tournament destination, with first and second round matches set for May 1-3. The selection show will air Monday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m.
