No. 36 Pack Dominates Bryant, Boston College

Smithfield, R.I. and Chestnut Hill, Mass. -- The 36th-ranked NC State men's tennis team didn't give up a point en route to victories over Bryant University and Boston College on Thursday. The Wolfpack extends its winning streak to four and has won seven of its last eight matches.
 
NC State 4, Bryant University 0:
Thomas Weigel and Shoti Meparidize played as a doubles team for the first this season and pulled away in the tiebreaker to clinch the double's point for the Pack.
Robbie Mudge and Nick Horton continued their doubles team success with a victory at the No. 1 doubles position in the lineup.
In singles, the Pack earned straight-set victories from Austin Powell, Weigel and Meparidze to clinch the match.
Weigel provided the largest winning margin of the day with a, 6-1, 6-1, victory over Bryant's Oliver Welsh. The junior is playing some of his best tennis of the year, as he has six consecutive singles wins and seven straight doubles victories.
Austin Powell earned his 12th win of the season, while freshman Meparidze picked up his third win after being inserted in the lineup late in the season.
 
NC State 7, BC 0:
After an hour commute to Chestnut Hill, the team continued its dominating performance on the court. Once again the duos of Mudge and Horton and Weigel and Meparidze picked up doubles wins to take the doubles point.
NC State also won every singles match in straight sets to pick up its fourth win in a row.
 
Beck Bond won, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. This is his eighth win in a row and ninth win in his last 10 matches.
Once again, Weigel produced the most-lopsided win of the day. The junior took a decisive, 6-0, win in the first set, and closed out the match with a, 6-2, second-set win.
