The sophomore helped the Wolfpack post a 3-1 record during the week, highlighted by a three-game series sweep of No. 23 Notre Dame. Versus the Fighting Irish, Ross was 5-for-11 to compile a batting average of .455 - the highest on the team for the weekend.
More impressively, she hit three home runs, collected seven runs batted in (RBI) and also scored three runs. The Cameron, N.C., native recorded the first multi-homer game of her career on Sunday with round-trippers in the second and fifth inning.
She came up big for the Pack all weekend, giving the team a 4-2 lead in game one of Saturday's doubleheader on a solo home run and doubled in two more runs in the second game.
On Sunday, she had a game-high four RBI following a three-run blast to make it 4-0 in favor of NC State in the second inning and went yard for the second time in the contest to extend the Wolfpack's lead to 7-1.
For the season, Ross has the second-best batting average on the team with a .327 clip. She has 18 hits on the year, highlighted by four homers and three doubles. The Wolfpack's cleanup hitter has a team-best 15 RBI.
It is the first time in her collegiate career that she has earned the ACC Player of the Week award.
