Pack Continues ACC Slate

RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 37 NC State men's tennis team continues its ACC schedule with a home match on Friday, March 13 against No. 28 Louisville at 4 p.m. The Pack will face its third-consecutive ranked opponent and the No. 1 singles player in the country for the second match in a row.
Pack in the Polls:
NC State enters Friday's match at No. 37 in ITA polls. In singles, Austin Powell checks in at No. 72, while Ian Dempster and Robbie Mudge are ranked 17th in doubles.
Home Sweet Home:
This season, the Pack is 4-1 in home matches at J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Pack has taken down two ranked opponents and defeated its unranked opponents 7-0 and 6-1, respectively.
Scouting The Cardinals:
No. 28 Louisville enters the match with a 13-3 record. The Cardinals are led by undefeated Sebastian Steifelmeyer, who enters the match as the No. 1 singles player in the country. Albert Wagner rounds out the singles rankings at No. 106.
Louisville split its first two conference matches last weekend. On Friday, March 6, Louisville fell to Florida State, 4-3, and then upset No. 23 Notre Dame, 5-2 on Sunday, March 8.

Record Watch:
Austin Powell has collected 84 career singles victories to occupy fifth place, while Robbie Mudge ranks seventh place with 74 singles wins. Powell is two wins from moving up a spot on the list, while Mudge could climb to fifth with two wins.
In doubles, Mudge is tied for third in program history with 78 doubles wins. He has moved up three spots on the top-10 list since the beginning of the 14-15 season.
Last Time Out:
The Pack had a tough weekend after dropping two ACC matches to top-20 opponents. In the loss, Beck Bond and Simon Norenius provided a silver lining after defeating their first nationally-ranked opponents this season. Additionally, Norenius captured the program's 100th win of the season.
